BELLEVUE, WA — (Marketwired) — 09/10/13 — Esterline Corporation (NYSE: ESL), (), a leading specialty manufacturer serving global aerospace and defense markets, today announced that Michel Potvin will serve in a new role for the $2 billion company as Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Strategy.
Potvin has led one of Esterline-s major business platforms, Esterline Control Systems, for more than two years. Esterline Control Systems is a group of four U.S. companies making valued Korry®, Mason, and BVR control products as well as offering Avista software services.

Lawrence said the VP of Marketing & Strategy will be responsible for developing a more centralized customer interface and point of contact as well as a collaborative sales strategy. Potvin will be leading the corporate strategic planning process, including coordination of platform- and segment-level planning activity. In addition, he will be researching how Esterline products can better serve their markets going forward while remaining competitive in an ever-changing industry.
Potvin joined Esterline as a Platform President in 2011, coming from L-3 Communications where he was Vice President at their Canadian division, L-3 MAS. He also has prior management experience with Lockheed Martin and Invensys Process Systems and is a graduate of the University of Quebec with an industrial engineering degree. He also completed graduate studies in project management and an executive management program at the Queen-s University School of Business in Ontario.
