With this system, the individual filter levels are cleaned via installed nozzle fittings with appropriate full-cone nozzles. Such cleaning may only be made with the system stopped so that the logical interconnection with the production line must be taken into account. In order to minimize any carry-over of the cleaning fluid, the filter system is sealed off during the cleaning process using electrically controlled shut-off flaps.
What is so special about the new cleaning system is the fact that the cleaning process takes place without chemical additives or acqueous solutions. As cleaning agent, just a special oil is used which is recirculated in operation and reprocessed using a cleaning centrifuge (see picture). Only evaporation and carry-over losses must be compensated for.
The new cleaning system is mainly used for the new large-type series with a very short life of the filter cells, as e.g. with presses and hardening systems where the aerosol contents is low and the polluting load is high.
