With full throttle through Europe

„Because of the vast positive response and the explicit demand of various industrial partners, we are seriously thinking of offering another LATERAL THINK WORKSHOP or SOLUTION WORKSHOP in Germany,” said Patrizia Vivani, founder of the initiative. “A lot of people we had invited to the event could not find the time to participate in the kick-off event.” Therefore, it is currently envisaged to repeat this workshop in or around Munich. “This will give the innovative lateral thinkers who missed the first workshop the chance to catch up,” added Vivani. “Obviously, the planning will have to be done in parallel to the planning for the other European countries.”

The focus in the other European countries will be on the somewhat neglected navigation regions in Eastern Europe such as Moscow, Prague, Warsaw and Bucharest. “Western Europeans are all pretty saturated, especially the whole industry,” explain Vivani. “Nonetheless, we are planning workshops in Italy, France, Spain and Great Britain which are set to be held in 2009.”

However, there are more projects scheduled: One of the main projects is, without a doubt, GLOBAL NOVATIONS. This is a special Showcase on tour which shows innovative solutions from various branches as a virtual interaction platform. This Showcase in combination with the five other projects of the initiative and a special innovations competition documents and visualises the basis of the initiative. With the help of the international specialised press that will be used and involved systematically the markets are to be prepared together and new intersectoral and cross-national projects pushed.

The promotion of young talent is something extremely dear to Navigation Global. The talent competition YOUNG SOLUTIONS is all about the innovative ability and creativity of university students. The focus is on the questions: Which solution approaches based on specific demands of the industry can students offer and develop? This Europe wide competition will start in 2009 based on special tenders from the industry along with the European innovation and education centres attached to the initiative.
