Torque Limiter type ECH with integrated chain wheel

November 15 17:09 2010

Especially for the torque limitation in chain drives we engineered torque limiters who need very little space and therefore can be build in existing constructions.
Application’s examples are packaging machines, boarding machines, carrying machines, etc. The type ECH brings the advantages from the „ball-overclick-principle“ (exact disengagement torque, high repetition
accuracy of the disengagement torque) with the advantage of the slip clutches (short design) together.
But you avoid the well known troubles of the slip clutch as: inaccurate disengagement torque, sensitivity to oil and moisture, large development of heat during slipping, and wear of the friction coatings.
Further advantages of the torque limiter are: simple disengagement detection for emergency stop with proximity switch, machine reference is retained, independent re-engagement, very small residual torque.
Adjustable disengagement torques reach by 10 building sizes from 2 through 630 Nm.
