Three months before SOLIDS Dortmund (SCHÜTTGUT) and RECYCLING-TECHNIK open their doors on 21 & 22 May 2014 in Dortmund-s Messe Westfalenhallen, the shows already have reached a record growth. Halls 4 and 5 are both fully booked and in the newly-opened Hall 6, only 20 percent of the exhibition space is still available. „There are several factors to which we can attribute this incredible growth,“ says Daniel Eisele, Exhibition Director at easyFairs. „For one, we have many returning partners and exhibitors who chose to display machines and therefore needed to somewhat increase the size of their stands; but then, of course, there is also the fact that 23% of the exhibitors are new – with 50% growth in the number of companies from abroad – compared to the last edition. The number of Dutch exhibitors alone has doubled, and the majority of this year-s new exhibitors are participating for the first time ever in SOLIDS Dortmund (SCHÜTTGUT).“ For example, industry giants such as ContiTech, BEUMER Group, KAESER Kompressoren K.A. Schmersal, and SBM Mineral Processing, who will present their solutions and products for handling and processing solid and bulk goods at SOLIDS Dortmund 2014 (SCHÜTTGUT) . „SOLIDS Dortmund (SCHÜTTGUT) has become the most important trade show for solids technologies at its top-class location in the Ruhr region,“ observes Dr. Gerd Oberheuser, Head of System Technology, BEUMER Machinery, Beckum. „We-re participating for the first time as exhibitors and will be promoting our entire portfolio of equipment for conveying, loading, filling, palletising and packaging. That includes belt conveyors that can negotiate curves, bucket elevators, loading equipment for bulk materials, and high-performance systems for final packaging.“ But there is also a number of small and medium-sized enterprises joining the exhibitors list for the first time. Companies such as Westerwald Trucks, Schleswiger Tauwerkfabrik Oellerking and SLV Shipping-Logistics-Transport will showcase their services and solutions for the loading and unloading of bulk materials as well as for bulk goods transport, thereby completing a new exhibition area of the show. Several Italian exhibitor stands, as well as a Dutch and Polish pavilion, round out the international offerings of the trade fair. In addition, the pavilions will tempt visitors with culinary treats typical of their countries. Above and beyond the growth of the exhibition there is an expansion on content offered by the two shows: Fostering multi-faceted and intensive exchange of experience and know-how, the four lecture arenas will host a total of 60 presentations. Furthermore, the debut of the German Fire and Explosion Protection Congress will feature large-scale live explosion tests and fire simulations, to be conducted on the premises of the nearby DMT. „Our focus this year is on technical inter-communication with experts. Alongside the classic visitor lounge, our innovative Business Bar at the centre of Hall 4 will be a novel combination of exhibition, networking and gastronomy,“ explains Sandrina Josephs, easyFairs Marketing Project Manager for the show. „Topic-specific guided tours and an interactive visitor contest are also among the new highlights provided for attendees.“ Online at www.easyfairs.com/schuettgut-de, visitors can find out more, take a look at the show catalogues, book meetings with exhibitors, and register for an entry voucher. Pre-registration eliminates long wait-times at the doors. This year, visitor entrance tickets cost 25. However, anyone who has been invited by exhibitors or media partners may still attend the show free of charge.
