SGS Releases First Certificates of Conformity under Russian Technical Regulation on Machinery and Equipment Safety

Oktober 12 10:18 2010

The Russian Technical Regulation on Machinery and Equipment Safety came into force on September 25, 2010. This document determines the minimum requirements regarding machinery and equipment safety during design, manufacture, installation, operation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal.

As an accredited Certification Body for Conformity Verification, SGS Vostok Limited (http://www.ru.sgs.com/home_ru_v2.htm?selen=1&) has started issuing the first Certificates of Conformity under the Technical Regulation on Machinery and Equipment Safety for machinery and equipment entering the Russian market. With the Certificate of Conformity, SGS testifies to a machine’s compliance to the requirements of the Technical Regulation and enables manufacturers to use the registered Mark of Conformity for their products.

In accordance with the procedure prescribed by the Technical Regulation, SGS (http://www.sgs.com/_industrial?lobId=5550) issues Certificates of Conformity on the basis of sample tests, quality system verification or a production site audit, depending on the chosen conformity verification scheme.

With the Certificates of Conformity (http://www.gost.sgs.com/certification-and-declaration-of-conformity-to-technical-regulations-requirements), SGS meets the high demand for certification services from manufacturers entering the Russian market.
