TORONTO, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 03/26/12 — NWT Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE: NWT)(FRANKFURT: NMV) („NWT“ or „The Company“) would like to announce that it has purchased an additional 11,765,000 shares of URU Metals (LSE: URU) („URU“) through a wholly owned subsidiary. NWT now owns a cumulative 49,773,339 shares representing 43.94% of URU Metals.
URU Metals holds a total of eight highly prospective properties in Niger, one of the world-s leading uranium producers. The eight concessions – named Irhazer, In Gall, Kamas 1 to 4 and Dabala 3 and 4 – cover 1,673,644 (6,773 square kilometers). URU also has investments in nickel projects in South Africa through a joint venture, and also has an interest UrAmerica Limited, a junior uranium mining company engaged in the identification, acquisition and exploration of high-quality assets in Latin America, particularly Argentina, Columbia and Paraguay.
