(„Nordex“ or the „Corporation“) (TSX VENTURE: NXX) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new initiative designed to assist existing and new clients identify potential cost savings through the use of Nordex products in blasting operations. All facilities, personnel and support mechanisms under this program are being finalized and will enable customers to have the ability to measure results through efficiency reports prepared under the Nordex brand.
Nordex will be working with Dr. Calvin Konya, a 40 year veteran of the explosives industry. He is a founding member, president and first executive director of the International Society of Explosives Engineers. Dr. Konya is also a director of the Academy for Blasting and Explosives Technology and president of Precision Blasting Services. He has an impressive resume of significant achievements in blast design, education, research, legal consultation, and management. Dr. Konya has authored more than 130 technical papers, books and reports and has overseen numerous technically challenging blasting projects worldwide.
With this new initiative, Nordex has appointed Mr. Pat O–Connell to the position of Manager, Product & Blast Optimization. Mr. O–Connell will assist in the formative stages and lead implementation with new and existing clients. This initiative will include effective training of all field personnel, base line studies, data collection, computer analysis and modelling, technical analysis, measured results and cost savings reports.
