Karlsruhe (Germany) October 10, 2012 – The MOST Cooperation (MOSTCO) – the standardization organization for the leading automotive multimedia network Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) – welcomes carmakers, suppliers and academia to join the 13th MOST Interconnectivity Conference Asia (ICA) on November 15, 2012 in Seoul (South Korea). „This year-s MOST Conference in Asia will celebrate the release of MOST150 onto the roads,“ stated Dr. Christian Thiel, MOST Cooperation Administrator. „The current MOST150 rollout marks the milestone of the MOST Cooperation adding the transmission of Ethernet protocol data to the established MOST infotainment transport of audio and video within the car.“ The Ethernet Channel of MOST150 operates like an IEEE802.x network. MOST150 multiplexes Ethernet technology onto a networking technology that was designed to meet stringent automotive requirements.
During the morning session, members of the Steering Committee will give an overview which will be expanded by various member presentations in the afternoon. Several professionals involved with MOST Technology will present the latest MOST designs, solutions, experiences, research results, and future outlooks. Program highlights will reach from MOSTnG physical layer and connectivity options, MOST data communication compliance and testing, MOST in driver assistance, and IP communication over MOST.
The conference will be accompanied by several suppliers of MOST solutions presenting technical demonstrations in the exhibition area. The MOST Cooperation will demonstrate a technology update and outlook including the network integration of diverse applications – such as Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) – and easier connection to IT systems inside and outside the vehicle.
