DUSSELDORF – Leading manufacturer of high performance industrial printing systems, Hitachi Europe GmbH has launched the first laser coders in its LM Series. These new CO2 units are a natural fit with the company’s existing portfolio and complement its popular RX inkjet printers for primary and secondary packaging applications.

Hitachi’s compact CO2 laser systems boast a 10 or 30 Watt power output and are designed for printing on to various materials, including paper, cardboard, glass and plastic. With their robust dual-casing design, these highly reliable coders can be used in extremely harsh environments and allow top quality printing at a very wide range of production speeds.

In addition, Hitachi is now also offering a vision system for use in conjunction with its printing equipment and for verifying text once it has been produced. The MC-20S vision system is optimised for recognising typical inkjet-type dot matrix text which it checks as soon as it has been printed. In doing so, it guarantees that the print quality is sound and the text is correct.

By expanding its portfolio of industrial printing systems, Hitachi is developing into a supplier of equipment for printing solutions based on various forms of technology.
