6 August 2009 – Recirculating aquaculture system technology for turnkey fish farms and individual projects will be the main focus of Fischtechnik International Engineering GmbH’s stand at Aqua Nor 2009 from 18 to 21 August in Trondheim, Norway.
Fischtechnik will also be presenting its renowned fish grading machines, systems for filtration, water disinfection and oxygenation, plus measurement and control technology. The company’s product and project development specialists will be on hand to offer visitors expert advice.
It is 20 years since Fischtechnik began designing and building recirculating aquaculture systems for fish farming, making it a pioneer in the field. Today’s recirculating systems use a minimum of water and electricity and thus contribute to reducing the impact of fish farming on the environment. Such systems enable fish to be farmed at almost any location and with a minimum of emissions. Recent projects include a large abalone farm in Ireland for Tower Aqua Products Ltd, modernisation of a research facility for the University of Berne in Switzerland and two systems in Iraq unter the auspices of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
In addition to planning and building fish farms, FTIE continues to develop, manufacture and distribute high-quality components for fish farming. Grading machines, tanks, biofilters, mechanical filters, oxygenation systems and computer hardware and software for control and monitoring are the chief features of the company’s product range. Close links to research institutes, universities and specialised companies all over the world ensure state of the art systems of the highest technical and biotechnical standard.
