Vienna, Europe, June 4, 2009 – EUCODIS Bioscience, a company developing enzymes for the chemical, the pharmaceutical, and other industries, announced today that it has successfully launched its first commercial enzyme, a beta-lactamase. The product is manufactured by EUCODIS Bioscience and can be supplied in a GMP-compliant formulation. The Company will market its beta-lactamase to antibiotics manufacturers to improve quality control, to the diagnostics industry, and to research organizations. The Company estimates that its beta-lactamase has a market potential of up to EUR 5 million.
