Hamburg / Pescara, January 9, 2007 – Diatec, manufacturer of machinery for the absorbent hygiene industry based in Pescara, Italy, is no longer part of the Körber PaperLink Group. Following a management buyout, effective January 1, 2007, the executives of Diatec, Mr. Luigi Mancini and Mr. Letterio Villari have acquired the business and will operate it as an independent company. Diatec has 24 employees. In 2006 sales amounted to EUR 5 million. The employees will be taken over.
„Other technologies in the hygiene segment of the Körber PaperLink companies are not affected by this change“, says Martin Weickenmeier, CEO of the Hamburg based and globally acting Körber PaperLink Holding. „We wish Diatec success and all the best for the future.“
„Diatec customers will benefit from a continuity in terms of technology and know-how and be able to rely on the same level of customer service they have experienced in the past“, adds Luigi Mancini, CEO of Diatec. „We are convinced of the existence of favourable business opportunities for Diatec in the hygiene market.“
