The Swedish company Vattenfall AB has awarded the contract for procurement of its software to the COMPAREX Group. Positioning itself as a ?value-added reseler?, the Leipzig-based IT company also outpaced the competition with its software asset management solution in a Europe-wide tender. COMPAREX will therefore also advise Vattenfall on matters of software license management; the objective will be to cut costs in compliance with licenses already in place. The estimate value of the framework agreement between COMPAREX and Vattenfall AB is ?12 million per year. The initial term of the agreement is over a three-year term, it retains the option of extending the contract twice. In the evaluation of the tender, COMPAREX were cooperative and highly professional and fulfilled the requirements presented by Vattenfall. Robert Ebner, Corporate Vice President Software COMPAREX Group, is thrilled about the decision made in Stockholm: ?We are very happy to put our market-leading know-how and experience in the service of one of the top-five utility suppliers in Europe! It was a strong competition for this very prestigious customer and again, it was transparency in pricing, best of consultancy, and quickest delivery that prevailed!?
