IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/25/13 — CleanTech OC, a leading trade association dedicated to promoting Orange County-s clean technology industry, announced the appointment of Scott Kitcher as executive director.
Kitcher has more than 22 years of experience in financial services, investment banking, investment management, and strategic consulting. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the association including program and event development, membership and sponsor outreach, and community integration and education. Kitcher replaces Taylor Honrath who has enrolled in graduate school.

Kitcher entered the cleantech industry in the late 1990s during his investment management work with Eaton Vance Management and Lloyd George Management. Since that time, he has deployed his financial expertise in that area culminating in the foundation of EcoFin Consulting LLC: a financial and strategic consulting firm modeled to rapidly advance early stage and transitioning cleantech companies to the next level.
CleanTech OC is a non-profit trade association that promotes the cleantech industry in Orange County including: renewable energy, clean transportation, energy efficiency and other resource conservation, green building, green consumer products, and corporate sustainability. CleanTech OC seeks to spur job creation and economic growth in the cleantech industry in Orange County and throughout California by facilitating cooperation between the public and private sectors and academia and educating stakeholders and the public on cleantech-related matters.
