SANTA CLARA, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/16/13 — Bounce Imaging, a Boston-based company developing low-cost, throwable camera + sensor spheres for first responders, industrial safety, and consumer applications, is scheduled to demonstrate the core electronics of its system at the 2013 DEMO Conference in Silicon Valley on Thursday, October 17th in the afternoon Hardware session. David Young, co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Bounce Imaging, will describe the system design, which has been recognized as a Best Invention by TIME and Popular Science magazines. He will then provide a sneak peek at the core system and its associated smartphone/tablet application during a brief demo.

Bounce Imaging will be entering testing of its systems with first responders throughout the New England area in the coming months, offering a system that provides the situational awareness of a robot or drone for a small fraction of the cost and without the need for complex training or viewing equipment. It will also be conducting testing of its units with domestic and international partners in industrial safety. Bounce Imaging is expected to launch a Kickstarter campaign to gauge interest in the consumer use case in the coming months.
