MAZeT Invests in Mixed Signal Test System for Development Tasks

September 11 14:55 2008

Jena, Germany, 11 September 2008 – MAZeT GmbH, a leading system house for industrial electronics, focuses on the development of ASICs, ASSPs and embedded computing components for mobile and stationary applications. To be able to respond more flexibly to customer requirements and to further improve quality assurance for components and customer-specific circuitry, MAZeT is investing in a mixed signal test system from Dr. Eschke (CT350 Comet S). With this test system, MAZeT can offer its customers shorter paths and therefore shorter response times in the development process. The customer is guaranteed constant high quality throughout the value chain, from development, production and testing through to delivery from a single source. Thanks to the test facility, interface problems in the supplier chain are reduced to a minimum. The compact and very efficient device is modularly expandable and can be flexibly used for different IC designs.

The system is being used for the commissioning of ASIC engineering samples. The aim is to offer customers shorter delivery times and a higher product depth for the ASIC functional models.

The focus on applications areas that place increased mechanical, climatic and electrical loads on the ICs, components and devices necessitates additional examination and testing to verify that performance criteria have been met. The new mixed signal test system, climate-controlled cabinet, ThermoStream, ESD testing equipment, and electrical testers are found in a specially set-up test laboratory and are operated by qualified testing engineers. All staff at MAZeT are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards, reliability, and durability, as well as process stability and process transparency in manufacturing.
