August 06 14:00 2013

Frankfurt, 6th August 2013: The beginning of November is the key moment: That is when AIRTEC, the leading Trade Fair in the world of the aerospace supply industry, will open its doors in Frankfurt am Main. Professionals and experts from the industry and academics will spend three days in Central Europe in order to develop contacts, generate business and gather information on new trends and developments. The distinctive aspect of AIRTEC is its unique trade fair concept that provides an offer to meet every demand.

The B2B meetings form the centrepiece of the trade fair. It represents over 300 exhibitors from all over the world. The technology meeting place opens up a comprehensive overview to the visitors of the entire aerospace supply chain – from design, engineering, testing and simulation to materials, production, tools, components, systems, electronics and sensors right up to life cycle support. Exhibitors showcase their competencies and their know-how at this event and provide the audience with orientation in their quest for new technical and economical solutions.

The signs of AIRTEC 2013 point to growth: Thus, the number of exhibitors has risen by 40% compared to the previous year and the suppliers of the first level have reinforced their presence. For suppliers on the second and third levels, the onlookers expect an even greater diversity, primarily in the fields of engineering, materials (composite materials and metals), production, components and systems, as well as electronics and sensors.

In addition, B2B meetings have become an integral part of AIRTEC since 2009. The various meetings organized by the event hosts provide an excellent opportunity for the intensive technical exchange of ideas with potential business partners. The success of the concept establishes the positive resonance that also manifests itself in the rising number of participants every year: Following on from 3,236 participants in the previous year, it is expected that the number of participants for 2013 shall double to over 6,000.

AIRTEC will be supplemented by five international technical conferences: „Supply on the Wings“ for aeronautics, the UAV World Conference for unmanned aerial systems with a civil share, the HELI World Conference for helicopters, as well as the SPACE World Conference for space and the AEROSPACE SENSORS and AEROSPACE TESTING Conference, each of which assures a profound exchange of knowledge. This is where top-class experts from the fields of academia and industry will present papers and hold discussions on innovations and technologies of the future.

Volker Schulze, Graduate Engineer in Aero and Managing Director of the Event Host, airtec GmbH & Co. KG, is convinced of the success of the unique concept of the trade fair: „The mix of a technical exhibition, B2B meetings and expert conferences draws professional visitors from more than 50 countries, ranging from suppliers to purchasers and right up to supply chain managers and technologists. With this, we are the international world meeting place of the aerospace supply industry.“

„Our aim is to design the AIRTEC as the future-oriented specialist trade fair“ explained Diana Schnabel, Managing Partner at airtec GmbH & Co. KG. „We have established ourselves as an international trend and innovations center that not only attracts purchasers and exhibitors, but also renowned scientists and academics.“
