New International Academy of Coaching Sciences launched

Zurich, February 18, 2011 – The new International Academy of Coaching Sciences is founded in Zurich, Switzerland. The Academy is a non-university research institution, and provides researchers a platform for scientific exchange. The Academy is at the rank of an Academy of Sciences.

Subject of the International Academy of Coaching Sciences is coaching as a scientific discipline. The Academy bridges the gap of the developing research field of coaching. Up to now, coaching was hardly been explored by scientific research. The Academy’s first research projects are „Coaching as a new scientific virgin“, „Coaching and Effec-tiveness Research“, „Neuro-Coaching“, „Coaching, a Tool for Top and Middle Man-agement“, „Coaching for Expatriates“, and „Coaching in Finance“.

The aim of the International Academy of Coaching Sciences is to advance the subject-specific and interdisciplinary research in the field of coaching and related areas. The Academy bridges the gap between coaching scientific research and the practice to coach. Of particular importance is the Academy for coaching relevant challenges re-lated to the modern business and working environment.

Founding President of the Academy is Professor Dr. Robert Weimar, Germany.
