VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — (Marketwired) — 07/03/13 — EastCoal Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ECX)(AIM: ECX) (the „Company“) announces that it received confirmation on July 2, 2013 that Mr John Byrne, Chairman and CEO of the Company, sold 6,522,000 common shares in the Company in an off-market transaction at a price of 1.5 cents per share from Arcourt Resources NL (5,932,000 shares), Tiodi Pty Ltd (70,000 shares) and Twenty-Second Yeneb (520,000 shares), all beneficially owned and/or controlled by Mr Byrne, and bought the shares in his personal pension fund on June 28, 2013. July 2, 2013 is the first Canadian business day following the transaction on June 28, 2013. Following this transaction Mr Byrne-s shareholding remains at 16,907,000 common shares in the Company.
