RAMPF Giessharze will be presenting three new products at the Electronica in No-vember: RAKU-PUR® 21-2551, RAKU-POX® 22-1010 and RAKU-POX® 23-1110. The systems, which are polyurethane and epoxy-based, have first and foremost one objective: they are intended to protect electronics and thus safeguard the functional performance even under extreme conditions, whether for condensers, sensors, transformers, DC/DC-transformers, relays or other power electronics. Simple proc-essing on commercially available 2-component low-pressure mixing and dosing sys-tems is possible, thanks to the use of non-abrasive fillers. Complete solutions are also available in conjunction with the affiliated company RAMPF Dosiertechnik
UL listing inclusive RAKU-PUR® 21-2551 is a polyurethane-based two-component casting resin. The solvent and halogen-free system is UL listed for all colours and reactivities. It pro-vides optimal flame retarding properties according to the Ordinance UL94 fire pro-tection classification, already at a film-thickness of 1.5 mm. In addition, it is electri-cally conducting and has excellent insulation functions. Above-average temperature change stability (-40 °C to 130 °C) as well as a low tendency to absorb water round-off the property profile of the material. The pot-life is variably adjustable. Areas of application include the protection of sensors and circuit boards.
Heat shield for motors Similarly, the epoxy-based products are just as effective. The experts from RAMPF have also dispensed with the use of solvents and halogens. The one-component electro-casting resin RAKU-POX® 23-1110, as well as the 2-component system RAKU-POX® 22-1010, excel by their very good thermal and mechanical properties. This makes their use in the motor field, for instance, indispensable. RAKU-POX® 23-1110 is temperature-resistant to 150 °C, exhibits high chemical resistance and a very low thermal expansion coefficient (30 ppm / K). Furthermore, the material is suitable for storage at 20°C for three months. RAKU-POX® 22-1010 has a high thermal conductivity of up to 0.95 W/(m*K). Fur-thermore, it satisfies the requirements of the Ordinance UL94 fire protection classifi-cation at film-thicknesses of 4 mm and above. The very good impregnating proper-ties of the electro-casting compound are a further product highlight.
Efficient electro-casting resins from RAMPF at the Electronica 2010
We will be introducing our extensive product portfolio of electro-casting resins on PU, epoxy and silicon basis. The materials excel with a number of properties, such as UL-94 VO, F-class 155 °C and extremely good hydrolysis resistance. Visit us from 9th -12th November 2010, in Hall B2, booth 431 at the fair ground Munich.
