„Large laminate flooring producers are now applying CLASSEN megaloc. Our fold-down technology has thus advanced to being the new laying standard within a relatively short time“, said an employee of the laminate flooring manufacturer in Rhineland Palatinate. This was emphasised on the new DOMOTEX Trade Fair stand from 17th to 20th January -09 in Hanover under the slogan „Megaloc connects …“. The people at CLASSEN show their confidence: „We are one of the world-s leading laminate flooring manufacturers. This position is further confirmed by the granting of licences for our Megaloc quick-lay system. CLASSEN can now give numerous renowned manufacturers as references for companies using the Megaloc laying system under licence.“
Furthermore, CLASSEN showed new decor trends and collections. „The trend of extremes continues. The customer prefers either very light or very dark decors. The absolute best seller in recent months, however, has been our extravagant high-gloss flooring in pure white“, declared CLASSEN-s product management. The new „Extravagant“ collection, which premiered at the Domotex 2008, was also represented at this year-s fair with new, exciting decors.
In addition, a new collection of wood decors in natural-effect parquet varnish look appeared under the Extravagant label. „We are taking the trend into account here, too. Flooring with a particular level of gloss is currently in demand. With the parquet varnish collection, our gloss grade is between high gloss and silk matt gloss“, stated CLASSEN-s product management. And the extravagance of this new flooring collection cannot be denied.
In the equally successful „visiogrande“ collection, in the easy-to-handle 60/30 tile format, new decor trends were introduced. „Like Extravagant, visiogrande has also established itself on the market very well. For us, this shows that we have correctly recognised and interpreted the current trends with our decor and format policy“, stated product management happily, having read the signs of the times.
A new generation of noise-insulated laminate flooring was presented under the collection name „Harmony“. This is the highly noise-insulated variant of a cushioned floor. The innovative insulation technology, named „Airsolution“, is based on an air-insulated surface above the HDF base board and the classic integrated insulation mat under the wooden material base. The result is a real „silent floor“ which is absolutely convincing as soon as you do a „knock“ test at the trade fair stand. CLASSEN promises the audible impression of up to 70% room noise reduction. „With the new Airsolution technology, we effectively intercept the footfall noise at the point where it arises: above the HDF board, which is in fact the real causer of the room noise.
With a new, matt structure, CLASSEN showed laminate flooring in a broad six-inch format which is to replace the current five-inch floorboard. „The matt structure looks more natural and thus even more qualitative than the structured laminate flooring known up to now“, assured CLASSEN. The new floorboard formats will be offered in premium world by CLASSEN and the Naturale collection from the specialist dealer brand „wiparquet“.
CLASSEN was once again able to present a plethora of interesting new products and proved that real innovation is still possible in laminate flooring.
